For Those Who Wonder
Welcome to the “For Those Who Wonder” site created by Jeff Burton, author of For Those Who Wonder.
The objective of the book and this site is to help Latter-day Saints better manage testimony and doubting issues.
We invite readers and contributors to share their questions and experiences with us in the spirit of helpfulness and good taste.
I was glad to find out about your site. I read your book several years ago and it is wonderful. I am Community of Christ/RLDS, but aspects of the book content is applicable to our memberships “testimony and doubting” issues also.
I just read most of your book last night (looks like they had Leonard Arrington’s old copy in the USU library–it’s signed!
I really appreciate your approach to faith, doubting and the gospel!
The chapter on the Seth Stowell letter really threw me for a loop! I thought the First Presidency statements from “George C. Smith” were actual press releases, and I thought the church had actually dealt admirably with a smoking gun in the past. But then I realized it was fictional.
And for some reason I really liked the temple/Salt Lake story. Although I’m not sure what the message was for “swimmers”
Thanks again!

Hi Jeff,
i’m new to the blogging world and i’ve enjoyed it so far. your site is helping me to realize i’m not alone in my struggles with doubt, fear, the “what if’s” as i call those nagging thoughts to questions that i just can’t answer TODAY!!! i’m trying to be ok with just right now and not worry so much about eternity at the moment. just trying to be a good person and do good to others, as the Savior taught., and letting go of perfectionism. Thanks so much for your book and your site!
take care,
EL
Finally, a site that embraces the conflict of living an LDS life honestly, within the reality of relativity and ambiguity.
what a wonderful resource. Thank you so much Jeff!!!! I have a blog on my challenges in the church that some of your viewers might find useful.
